N’Golo Kante will become the best midfielder ever if he scores more goals, says Gary Lineker

Image
The Frenchman has been a revelation in the Premier League since joining Leicester City in 2015, helping the Foxes storm to the title last season. Kante’s performances caught the attention of several elite clubs and Chelsea secured his services over the summer in a deal worth £33million. Covering virtually every blade of grass, Kante has maintained his sublime form this term and has been a vital cog in Antonio Conte’s side. The midfielder is not renowned for his goalscoring prowess but registered his third league goal in England to fire Chelsea ahead against Manchester United in the FA Cup. Kante found space outside the box and fired a shot past David De Gea as the Blues took control of the quarter-final clash. And after the strike, Lineker – a Leicester supporter – said on twitter: ‘Bloody hell, if Kante starts scoring goals as well he’ll become the best midfield player ever.’ Kante’s performances caught the attention of several elite clubs and Chelsea secured h

Jose Mourinho hits back at Chelsea fans for calling him ‘Judas’ during Manchester United clash

Image
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho hit back at Chelsea fans for labelling him ‘Judas’ during the side’s FA Cup clash by reminding the Blues he’s the club’s most successful manager. Mourinho was roundly mocked by Chelsea fans at Stamford Bridge during the 1-0 win and was seen sticking three fingers up – the amount of league titles he won at the club – at fans who were chanting at him. The 54-year-old’s second stint at the club ended horribly with the club lingering just outside the relegation zone after winning the title the season before. A section of Chelsea fans were heard shouting ‘Judas’ at Mourinho during the win and the Special One reminded the club’s supporters that he’s their most successful ever manager after the game. ‘They can call me what they want,’ insisted Mourinho. ‘I’m a professional, I defend my club and until the moment they [Chelsea] have a manager that wins four Premier League tittles [then] I am number one. ‘When they have somebody that win

TREMOR Barcelona celebrations at the Nou Camp after historic victory over PSG caused an EARTHQUAKE

Image
CELEBRATIONS after Barcelona’s dramatic late surge to defeat PSG in the Champions League caused an EARTHQAKE in the city. The Spanish side produced perhaps the greatest comeback of all-time to fightback from a 4-0 first-leg defeat.   Barca triumphed 6-1 on the night, with three goals in the final seven minutes, to clinch an astonishing 6-1 victory and a 6-5 aggregate win . However, the sheer joy and jubilation of the Nou Camp that Sergi Roberto’s last-ditch winner produced actually caused a trembling underground. That’s according to seismologist Jordi Diaz, who claims that the celebrations caused “a tiny earthquake.” The seismometer, installed at the Institute of Earth Sciences Jaume Almera, about 500 meters from the football stadium, recorded the “the biggest vibration of this type registered until now” by the device, which has been there for five years ago. The second and third goals for Barca appeared on the seismometer with the amplitude slightly higher than no

Barcelona fans created minor earthquake celebrating Sergi Roberto's goal against PSG

Barcelona fans made the earth move at the Nou Camp when Sergi Roberto's dramatic late goal saw them claim a remarkable win over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday. Roberto scored five minutes into stoppage time to complete a 6-1 win on the night as Barca, who trailed 4-0 after the first leg, progressed to the quarter-finals of the Champions League with one of football's greatest-ever comebacks. The roar and celebrations from Barcelona's fans was recorded on the Richter scale - a measurement used to record earthquakes - at the Jaume Almera Institute of Earth Sciences (ICTJA-CSIC), which is 500 metres away from the stadium. Barcelona's second and third goals nudged the centre's recordings slightly before the match-winning volley measured one on the Richter scale - making it a microearthquake.
