Dare-devil billionaire entrepreneur, Richard Branson , is lucky to be alive after he survived what looked like a near-fatal bike accident when he was flung head first off his bicycle in the British Virgin Islands. The Sun UK reports that the 66-year-old Virgin Group boss hit a bump in the road on Virgin Gorda, one of the islands in the Caribbean, catapulting him into the road. Man City Confirm Bravo Signing

  Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Claudio Bravo from Barcelona for an undisclosed fee. A statement on City’s official website confirmed Bravo’s signing which took place on Thursday. “City are delighted to announce the signing of Claudio Bravo,” the statement said. “The Chilean goalkeeper joins the Blues from Barcelona after signing a four-year-deal. “Bravo brings with him a wealth of experience including back-to-back La Liga titles with Barca and successive Copa America triumphs with Chile with whom the 33 year-old has won 106 caps and also the captain. “He won his 100th international cap in the Copa America Centenario as Chile beat Argentina in the final on penalties and is the first Chilean to win a century of caps. “Born in Viluco, Chile, Bravo started his career with Colo-Colo, making 123 appearances between 2002 and 2006 before joining Real Sociedad on the recommendation of Xabier Mancisidor who is now City’s goalkeeping coa

Barcelona Sign €15m Cillessen From Ajax

 Spanish champions Barcelona have signed Jasper Cillessen as replacement for Manchester City-bound goalkeeper Claudio Bravo. "FC Barcelona has decided to purchase 27-year-old Dutch goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen from Ajax Amsterdam on a five-year contract," Barca announced on their website on Thursday.  "The transfer fee is a guaranteed 13 million euros plus a further two million in variables. Cillessen’s buyout clause has been set at 60 million euros. "The player arrived in Barcelona this morning and after taking a medical examination, he signed his new contract in private."He will be officially presented as an FC Barcelona tomorrow Friday." Cillessen was Netherlands first choice goalkeeper at the 2014 World Cup, where they finished third.

The 41-year-old Joachim Iroko has been released from prison – Mr Iroko was held in custody for naming his dog Buhari – The 41-year-old has met the terms of his bail which was set at N50,000 Having met the conditions for his bail, 41-year-old Joachim Iroko who was charged in Ogun state for allegedly naming and inscribing ‘Buhari’ on his pet dog, has been released from prison. The 41-year-old trader faces a one-count charge of intention to cause breach of public peace. Premium Times reports that he was arraigned before Bolaji Ojikutu of Sango-Otta Magistrate’s Court on Monday morning and was subsequently granted a N50,000 bail.He was transferred to prisons while his family sought money for his released. Mr. Iroko met his bail conditions yesterday after receiving about N90,000 through fundraising appeal coordinated by a human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong. He was released around noon on Thursday, August 25,  and he went straight to his residence in Sango

Fans and pundits in England have often questioned whether the 28-year-old would enjoy the same success in wintry conditions against physical opponents. The question was recently put to the Argentina international by Balague, with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner revealing the state of the pitches he grew up playing on in his homeland were far worse than anything he'd be likely to encounter at the Britannia. During an interview with Stoke City forward and former Barca star Bojan on Sky Sports, Balague said: "I asked Messi about that question.
